 Here is the latest project I have done.

Quite challenging to do. No story behind it, mostly an exercice to practice speed and single take following a car. I did all the camera work, animation, editing, lighting and sound. Assets sources can be found on the vimeo description. I hope you'll like it

 

Zack

 Here he comes, Zack. I did this short using one of the latest beta tool from unreal (geometry scripting). It has been quite a challenge to make it work. The character is a metahuman that I changed a lot, especially the shaders. And like all of my others projects, I did the rest, lighting, camera etc etc. Music is Party boy theme by Dave Roen

Hi! 

Here's my latest project. Idea is simple, create a dynamic and clear camera move that follows a character.

I faced a LOT of technical issues with this project but I'm glad I managed to fix it!

The things I did are: 

  • All camera work 
  • Lighting, atmosphere, colors and post processing
  • Character blending/tweaking animations (using control rig)
  • Reconfiguring the project gaved by epic games 
  • Sound (I must point out that I am not a sound designer, I just enjoy doing it)

 Hi!

 So, here is the latest lighting project I've done in UE5. The goal was to reproduce a painted effect and feeling of the Impressionisme era. 

The post process material involved coding and is based on a kuwahara filter. You can check it here: Kuwahara filter part 1  Kuwahara filter part 2 it's really cool and interesting to follow how it is made.

I had a lot of fun with this one, hope you'll like it.

SIlent Hill mood

Here is my latest lighting scene I've done in UE5. 
After getting inspired by a specific room I recalled from the video game Silent Hill 3, I wanted to practice a bit shaders and keep on improving my lighting abilities. Mirror is done with Raytracing and lighting with Lumen.
So I imitated the sprawling red shader and gave a mood to the scene ( all the assets are coming from a megascan scene: https://www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/en-US/product/c26355353df843289701d632508d4fb0

The Well

Here's the last project I've been working on by myself. Main goal here was to do something different from what I do professionally. (wich is mainly family friendly). 

I did pretty much everything except the environment (quixel megascans work) and the characters (design and animation). If you want to know more please feel free to read the description on vimeo's page.

Time for a montage (Spoilers everywhere)

 Hey ! 

So after "Les Misérables" here are the others edited films I did last year (2021). The concept is pretty simple, with a music (in the same vibe as the movies' atmosphere) I recut the entire film to resume it. It needs to respect the story and the chronological events shown in the original movie (without altered the authors'visions). 

Music used are in the youtube's page description for each video.

At the same time it's a good and fun exercice to practice editing. I enjoyed it, hope you will aswell.




Les Misérables - Re cut (Spoilers)

    Hey.
 
So this here's my personal re cut of the movie Les Misérables (2019) directed by Ladj Ly.
 
Constraints were : 
 
- 3h maximum to do it
- Less than 3min regarding the movie's lenght
- Need to respect the story (so no reinterpretation) and the original chronological events shown.

Unreal - Soul duel

So that's it, this cinematic exercice is finally over. Now you get the audio.
Again, everything is raw aspect output directly from the unreal engine. Quick reminder, all assets are free to use, provided by Epic Games.

Unreal - Trying a better looking project -WIP

So I dowloaded free level and character from Epic game. They give a pretty good number of assets that they did in the past.

I dont know yet where I'm going with this but I'll use the cinematic sequencer as I did before.
It's just that overall it will look better.


I guess I'm back

      At least I'm still here, hanging arount :D. So.....

It has been a veryyy long time since i posted something here. I've been busy a lot, mostly working and trying myself to electronic music.
So I worked and still work at T.A.T studio in Toulouse, in France where we did a feature film based on the tv show The Jungle Bunch.
I was previously at I can fly studio in Bordeaux (still in France, but I guess you already know the famous wine from there) where I worked on different projects. One was with the collaboration of Digital Banana Studio (Paris). Feel free to watch it on youtube by searching for "Top Chat".

The thin quote

Petite surprise. J'ai décidé de mettre en attente le projet que vous avez ou que vous verrez 
juste en dessous.
Voici donc un exercice d'animation que j'ai décidé de faire sur un coup de tête en temps limité 
(2 jours). 
Bref, une envie particulière de faire du lypsinc et de l'anim' de regard tout en testant une mise en scène suivant le monologue du personnage.

Surprise. I decided to put the previous project you may saw (or not yet) on hold for a while.
So here is a animation exercice I did on an impulse in a limited time (2 days).
Anyway, just a desire to do lypsinc and regard animation by testing a way of directing following the character's monologue.

The monologue is a short audio extract from the movie The thin red line of Terrence Malick.

Salut à tous ! 

Et oui à peine terminé ma précédente anim' sur le dialogue de "her" et je ré enchaîne avec une autre.
Cette fois, pas de son, pas de dialogue, et cela dure à peut prêt 10sec.
Pour celles et ceux qui se poseraient la question, oui je me suis filmé en référence, comme à chaque fois.

Je sens que ça va être drôle ! :)

I just finished my previous animation based on a dialogue of "her" and I now go on with another one.
This time, no sound, no dialogue and it's about 10sec.
For those who wonder, yes I recorded myself as a reference, like all the thime.

I think this is about to be funny! :)

Voici la suite du précédent wip que vous pouvez voir en dessous !
J'ai délibérément séparer les deux personnages pour cette vidéo.

Encore quelques retouches de inbetween et peut-être de breakdown.
Je ne suis pas tout à fait satisfait de une ou deux poses, donc là aussi, à corriger.

Here is the next video of my previous wip. I chose to separate the two characters.

Still got to work on some inbetween and maybe some breakdown.
I'm not entirely satisfied with one or two poses, so... it must be changed too.




Haunted

Hey !

Un petit retour dans le temps avec ces quelques travaux que j'ai réalisé en équipe dans l'ancien studio Iozo à Lyon durant l'été 2013.
Petit birefing :
- Nous avions pour but de développer deux sortes de jeux à partir des mêmes ressources.
   |-> 1er gamedesign : Puzzle game en vue isométrique qui devait fonctionner sur                                                                      browser.
      |-> Nous avons donc fait des sprites pour chaque ressources sous 8 angles de vues différents.

   |-> 2ème gamedesign : Un survivol horror avec camera fixe.
      |-> Ici les ressources était donc entièrement en 3D lowpoly.
           J'ai pu faire le level design du 1er niveau avec un collègue.
           Et comme vous vous en doutez l'inspiration était... Alone in the dark (1er du nom)
           et Resident evil (1er du nom aussi).

Contraintes techniques : - Sprites 2D en 250*250px
                                        - Modélisation low poly (7775 Tris pour le héros)
                                        - Looping d'animations
                                        - Développement d'un shader 3D spécifique aux concepts 2D

A little travel through time with these works I did with a little team in the former Iozo studio based in Lyon during the 2013 summer. 
Briefing : 
- We had to create two different types of video game with the same resources.
   |-> 1st gamedesign : Puzzle game in isometric view that had to be playable on browser.
      |-> So we created sprites for each resources with 8 different points of view.

   |-> 2nd gamedesign : Survivol horror with fixed cameras.
      |-> The ressources were entirely in 3D lowpoly.
            I did the level design of the level with a colleague. As you might guess, the inspiration was...
            the first Alone in the dark and the first Resident evil.

Technical constraints : - 2D Sprites (250*250px format)
                                     - Low poly modelisation (7775 Tris for the hero)
                                     - Animations looped
                                     - Conception of a 3D shader to match with the 2D concepts.
